Levon Aronian
Levon Aronian (b. 6 October 1982) is an Armenian chess grandmaster. He has an FIDE rating of 2754, making him ranked sixth in the world. Previously he has been ranked third in the world, and he is currently the top player in Armenia. He has won the prestigious Corus chess tournament and became the Chess 960 World Champion in 2006, succesfully defending the title in 2007 against Vishwanathan Anand.
