Touchmove is a rule of chess in which if a player touch a piece or pawn they have to move it, and if a player touches a piece or pawn of the opposite player's colour they have to take it (also called touchtake). If this is impossible, then obviously this is not enforced and the player can move anything they want. However, in friendly games this is not often enforced due to its slightly strict nature even though still a rule of chess.
